Dog Vaccinations

Vaccinating your dog is one of the most effective ways to protect them from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. Starting from puppyhood, regular vaccinations help ensure your dog stays healthy, happy, and safe from contagious infections.

C7 Vaccination

Puppies require a series of three core vaccinations, starting from 6–8 weeks of age. These are given at monthly intervals and provide protection against distemper, infectious hepatitis, parvovirus and kennel cough.

ProHeart Vaccination (Heartworm Prevention)

Heartworm is a dangerous parasite transmitted by mosquitoes that can lead to heart failure and death. While monthly preventatives are available, dogs can still test positive. For reliable, year-round protection, we recommend the annual ProHeart injection, offering peace of mind with just one visit.

Canine Distemper

A highly contagious virus causing fever, eye and nose discharge, depression, seizures, and often death. Treatment is difficult and outcomes are poor.

Infectious Canine Hepatitis

A viral disease that can cause sudden death in puppies. In adult dogs, symptoms may include fever, abdominal pain, bleeding, and diarrhoea. Severe cases can lead to death within 24–36 hours.

Parvovirus

A highly contagious gastrointestinal illness that causes severe vomiting, diarrhoea, rapid dehydration, and often death—especially in young dogs.

Kennel Cough (Canine Cough)

Caused by the parainfluenza virus and/or Bordetella bacteria, kennel cough results in a dry, persistent cough that can last for weeks. While vaccination doesn’t guarantee full immunity, it significantly reduces the severity and duration of symptoms.

Leptospirosis

Spread via the urine of infected animals such as rats, cattle, and marsupials, Leptospirosis can affect both dogs and humans. Symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, and, in severe cases, organ failure and death. Initial vaccination is followed by a booster in 3 weeks, then annually.
